promotion rules

1. - All Bancaja customers, who are individual cardholders of any kind of Bancaja card, may take part in this promotion.

Business cards are included in this promotion. Points are assigned to the cardholder and not to the company that is the titleholder of the card account. All cards currently in use and all those contracted in the future are included in this promotion.

2. - This promotion works on a permanent basis. However, Bancaja may end this promotion, at any given time, by providing advance notice of the deadline for collecting points and publishing the relevant instructions and time limits for exchanging points.

The current gift catalogue, on which the promotion is based, will be valid from 1 July 2010 until 30 June 2011. When it expires, it will be replaced by another catalogue with similar features.

3. - Points will be awarded exclusively for purchases made in shops with the aforementioned Bancaja cards, including topping up mobile phones, according to the following parameters:

  • You will receive 1 Bancaja point for every 10 Euros you spend, rounded off to the closest multiple according to the purchase amount.
  • If you make purchases with a Free card, you will receive 2 Bancaja points for every 10 Euros you spend.
  • If you exchange points for gifts through Bancaja Próxima, you will receive 10 extra points for every gift.

If you return or cancel a purchase you have made, then the points earned will be deducted. Cash withdrawals and balance transfers carried out with a Bancaja Free card do not entitle the cardholder to Bancaja points.

It is expressly stated, for the purpose of this promotion, that all payments made to card accounts, for any reason, shall be considered as a return/cancellation of the purchase and, in all cases, shall lead to the debit of the corresponding points obtained.

Points will be calculated according to purchases and grouped according to individuals, not by card accounts. Therefore, if the same customer has several cards, he/she will be entitled to exchange Bancaja points obtained from all of these cards.

4. - Points may be exchanged for gifts at any time during the promotion by any of the following means:

  • Online: in Bancaja Próxima (www.bancaja.es).
  • At any Bancaja branch.

Customers may only exchange points when they are completely up to date on all payments to Bancaja and do not owe any amount thereto.

5. - All gifts are listed in the campaign catalogue. You will find the catalogue at any Bancaja branch or on the website www.bancaja.es.

6. - The catalogue includes detailed information about the gifts and the points required to obtain them. If stocks run out for any gift, Bancaja reserves the right to replace the gift with one of equal or greater value or with similar features.

Items will come with a standard manufacturer guarantee. Consequently, 15 days after the item is delivered, any complaints due to the malfunction of the product must be lodged with the relevant technical assistance service, and Bancaja shall be exempt of any liability or obligation to intervene in relation to such incidents.

7. - Participants may check their point balances at ATMs, by calling 902204020 or online at Bancaja Próxima (www.bancaja.es).

8. - Gifts shall be delivered to the customer, within a maximum period of 30 days counted from the date of the exchange request, at the branch where such request was made. The customer shall not be charged for delivery expenses. As an exception, gifts may be delivered directly to the address provided by the customer, only when Bancaja deems that the features of the item require such service to be provided.

The customer may return the gift to the same branch 7 days after delivery if they are not satisfied with it. The customer will be reimbursed with the points exchanged, as long as it is delivered in perfection condition, in its original packaging.

9. - The total loss of all points collected shall take place under the following circumstances:

  • If customers do not exchange their points 15 days after cancelling all of their cards.
  • In the case that the cards are cancelled by Bancaja due to non-payment.
  • If the cards are not used for 12 months counted from the date on which the last purchase was made.

The loss, theft or change of cards shall not, under any circumstances, result in the loss of the points collected.

10. - Bancaja reserves the right to suspend the Bancaja Points campaign and/or change its rules and conditions and undertakes to communicate such decisions appropriately and in writing or by means of advertising at its branches.

11. - Participation in this promotion entails acceptance of these rules. Bancaja reserves the right to interpret these rules and the power to settle any incidents that are not provided for herein.
